Every active registered voter is mailed a ballot ~18 days before the election (ORS ch. 254) and returns it by postage-prepaid mail or to an official drop site. Elections administered by the Secretary of State as Chief Elections Officer (ORS ch. 246) with county clerks; campaign finance regulated under ORS ch. 260 (ORESTAR public filing system).
