How voters cast a ballot

In-person voting at the assigned mesa on election day; the voter marks/selects a paper ballot in the cuarto oscuro (secret booth) and deposits it in the urna. Voting is COMPULSORY for citizens aged 18-70. Since 2024 a single state-printed ballot (Boleta Única de Papel) replaces party-printed ballots.
