US state. All active registered voters are mailed a ballot before every primary, general, and presidential preference election since Assembly Bill 321 (2021) — NRS 293.269911 et seq. Voters may also vote in person during a 14-day early-voting period (NRS 293.3568) or on election day at a vote center (NRS 293.305). Same-day voter registration is available (NRS 293.5772). Elections are administered by the Secretary of State as the Chief Officer of Elections (NRS 293.124) with county and city clerks. Campaign finance is regulated under NRS Chapter 294A. Voting Channels

How voters cast a ballot

The voting channels available under current law, each verified against the cited statute.

    Polling places open 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. on election day. Voters may cast a ballot at any vote center in their county of residence.

    14-day early in-person voting period at any early-voting site in the county, ending the Friday before the election.

    Universal mail-ballot delivery since AB 321 (2021): every active registered voter is automatically mailed a ballot for every primary, general, and presidential preference election, returned by postage-prepaid mail or to a county drop box.
