The superintendent shall designate a person or persons who shall have custody of the ballot scanners of the county or municipality when they are not in use at a primary or election and shall provide for his or her compensation and for the safe storage and care of the ballot scanners. All ballot scanners, when not in use, shall be properly covered and stored in a suitable place or places. History. Code 1981, § 21-2-377 , enacted by Ga. L. 1998, p. 1231, § 37; Ga.
