he right and terms of nominating candidates for the President of the Republic of Belarus, for deputies Candidates for the President of the Republic of Belarus are nominated by citizens of the Republic of Belarus if there are at least 100 thousand voter signatures. The nomination of candidates for the President of the Republic of Belarus begins 80 days and ends 50 days before the elections. The right to nominate candidates for deputies belongs to political parties registered by the Ministry of Justice no later than six months before the appointment of elections, labor collectives, as well as citizens by collecting signatures. The nomination of candidates for deputies begins 70 days and ends 40 days before the elections. A citizen can be nominated as a candidate for deputy of the House of Representatives in only one electoral district, and as a candidate for deputy of the local Council of Deputies - in one electoral district for elections to the local Council of Deputies of the corresponding territorial level. The same person cannot simultaneously be nominated as a candidate for deputies of the House of Representatives and for deputies of the local Council of Deputies. Candidates for deputies of local Councils of Deputies can be nominated by citizens living or working on the territory of the corresponding local Council of Deputies, as well as working in organizations located on the territory of another local Council of Deputies, but related to meeting the needs of the population and the social development of the territory of this local Council of Deputies. Citizens against whom there is a court conviction that has entered into legal force cannot be nominated as candidates for the President of the Republic of Belarus or deputies of the House of Representatives. Citizens who have an unexpunged or outstanding criminal record cannot be nominated as candidates for deputies of local Councils of Deputies. Citizens who have citizenship (nationality) of another state and (or) documents of foreign states that provide rights to benefits and advantages in connection with political, religious views or nationality cannot be nominated as candidates for deputies, except for the case provided for in Article 58 of this Code .
