State of Emergency 1. In the event of an imminent danger posed to the constitutional order, the Government shall declare a state of emergency, take measures resulting from the situation and address the people thereon. 2. In case of declaration of a state of emergency, a special sitting of the National Assembly shall be immediately convened by virtue of law. 3. The National Assembly may lift the state of emergency or cancel the implementation of measures provided for under the legal regime of state of emergency, by majority of votes of the total number of Deputies. 4. The legal regime of state of emergency shall be prescribed by a law adopted by majority of votes of the total number of Deputies. 46 Article 121. Administrative-Territorial Units and Division The administrative-territorial units of the Republic of Armenia shall be the marzes [regions] and the communities. Upon submission of the Government, the administrative-territorial division shall be prescribed by law.
