Status and Functions of the National Assembly 1. The National Assembly shall be the representative body of the people. 2. The National Assembly shall implement the legislative power. 3. The National Assembly shall exercise supervision over the executive power, shall adopt the State Budget and perform other functions prescribed by the Constitution. 4. The powers of the National Assembly shall be prescribed by the Constitution. 5. The National Assembly shall operate in accordance with its Rules of Procedure.
