The following apply for the purposes of IC 3-6-8, IC 3-6-9, and IC 3-6-10: (1) A central location for counting absentee ballots shall be treated the same as a precinct poll. (2) An absentee ballot counter shall be treated the same as a precinct election official. (3) A major political party of a county is entitled to appoint the number of watchers equal to the number of teams of absentee ballot counters.
