§ Ind. Code § 3-7-33-4.5Voter registration application submitted by mail; identifying documentation; exceptions

(a) Except as provided in subsection (b), this section applies to an individual
who:
(1) submits an application to register to vote by mail under IC 3-7-22; and
(2) has not previously voted in:
(A) a general election in Indiana (or a special election for federal office in Indiana);
or
(B) a general election (or a special election for federal office) in the county where
the individual has submitted an application under this chapter if the application was
received by the county voter registration office after December 31, 2002, and before
January 1, 2006.
(b) This section does not apply to an individual who complies with the requirements in
any of the following:
(1) The individual submits an application to register to vote by mail under this chapter
and includes with that mailing a copy of:
(A) a current and valid photo identification; or
