§ Ethics Rule 6.7Formal Investigation

The Commission, upon determining that there is reasonable cause
to believe that the person or persons named in the complaint have
violated these Rules, may authorize a formal investigation. The
Executive Director shall cause a unique number to be assigned to
identify each formal investigation. The unique identifying number
shall be followed by reference to the specific Rule or Rules alleged
to have been violated and language to indicate whether the Rule is a
campaign finance, financial disclosure, conflict of interest or
lobbying Rule.
