46.10 Nomination of elective judicial nominating commissioners. 1. In order to have an eligible elector’s name printed on the ballot for state or district judicial nominating commissioner, the eligible elector must file in the office of the state court administrator at least thirty days prior to expiration of the period within which the election Tue Dec 09 22:31:08 2025 Iowa Code 2026, Chapter 46 (33, 1) 5 NOMINATION AND ELECTION OF JUDGES, §46.13 must be held a nominating petition signed by at least ten eligible electors of the congressional district in case of a candidate for state judicial nominating commissioner, or at least ten eligible electors of the judicial district in case of a candidate for district judicial nominating commissioner. 2. Ballots or electronic voting forms for state and district judicial nominating commissioners shall contain blank lines equal to the number of such commissioners to be elected, where names may be written in. Any electronic voting form must permit a voter to write in the name of any eligible elector.
