Alteration, defacement or removal of posted results of votes cast. Any person who, prior to the expiration of 48 hours following the closing of the polls, alters, defaces, removes or destroys the copy of the results of votes cast posted outside a polling place is guilty of a gross misdemeanor. Notice of such penalty shall be printed on the copy posted.
