Each office of judge of the Court of Appeals constitutes separate office for nomination and election. For the purposes of elections only, the Secretary of State shall establish designations which separately identify each office of judge of the Court of Appeals. Before any person is allowed to file a declaration of candidacy for the office of judge of the Court of Appeals, the person shall designate the particular office for which he or she is declaring candidacy.
