12 In this Part — “ the commencement date ” means the date appointed for section 14 to come fully into force; “ overseas elector’s declaration ” has the meaning given by section 2(1) of RPA 1985 (as that provision had effect immediately before the commencement date); “ RPA 1985 ” means the Representation of the People Act 1985; “ RPA 2000 ” means the Representation of the People Act 2000.
