(1) Before ascertaining of the election results, a member of the Riigikogu or electoral body has the right to submit a written protest concerning a violation of the procedure for ascertaining of voting results. (2) The electoral committee reviews the protest after the votes are counted, and adopts and communicates a reasoned resolution. Where the procedure for ascertaining of voting results has been violated, the electoral committee recounts the votes.
