(1) Before the votes are counted, a member of the Riigikogu or electoral body has the right to submit a written protest to the electoral committee concerning a violation of the voting procedure. (2) The electoral committee reviews the protest after the close of voting, and adopts and communicates a reasoned resolution. Where the voting procedure has been materially violated, the electoral committee holds a repeat vote.
