§ 168.806aSeal; procedures

Sec. 806a.
     Notwithstanding any other provision of this act to the contrary, when the board of election
 inspectors is required to seal a ballot box, voting machine, transfer case, electronic voting
 device, or any other election material, the following procedure shall be followed:
    (a) An election inspector shall properly affix the seal to the item and shall certify the sealing
 on a form prescribed by the secretary of state for this purpose.

    (b) Another election inspector who is from the other major political party than the election
 inspector described in subdivision (a) shall verify that the seal is properly affixed to the item
 and shall certify the verification on the form described in subdivision (a).
    (c) The completed form described in this section shall be securely attached to the outside of
 the ballot box in the manner prescribed by the secretary of state.
