Voting systems may be used in accordance with this chapter. Voting systems may be procured, provided the systems being procured have been approved and certified for Page No. 3 procurement and use in the state by the secretary of state according to section 16.1-06-26. The system then may be used in any state, county, city, or district election in that precinct or other voting area of which that precinct is a part.
