(1) No person shall be forced to join or belong to a political party against his will. Equal treatment. Persons’ right to associate. (2) No person shall be debarred from membership of a political party on the basis of gender, race, financial status, sexual orientation or gender identity. (3) No person shall be discriminated against on the ground that the said person is a member of a political party: Provided that the provisions of this sub-article shall not apply to persons, who by reason of their employment, are under a duty of discretion in political matters or who hold offices which are incompatible with the exercise of political activity, so long as such restrictions are necessary in a democratic society.
