A political action committee that makes a transfer to the campaign finance entity of a candidate or to a slate shall: (1) display its official name, as filed with the State Board under this subtitle, in a prominent place on the face of the check by which the funds are transferred; and (2) include in a prominent place on the face of the check: (i) the words “political action committee” or the notation “PAC”, to indicate that the transferor is a political action committee; or (ii) if the political action committee is organized under Maryland law, the words “Maryland registered political action committee” or the notation “MD registered PAC” to indicate that the transferor is a Maryland political action committee.
