A person who provides service described in § 2-2-202 shall not: Seek to influence an applicant's political preference or party registration; Display any such political preference or party allegiance; or Make any statement to an applicant or take any action, the purpose or effect of which is to discourage the applicant from registering to vote. A violation of this section is a Class C misdemeanor.
