Registration of the initiative group
(1) The initiative group for conducting the republican referendum shall be registered
by the Central Electoral Commission. The following shall be submitted to the Commission for
registration:
a) the acts of the citizens’ meeting in which the initiative group was elected;
b) the declaration by the members of the initiative group on their consent to participate
in the collection of signatures of supporters of the referendum;
c) the application for registration of the initiative group.
(2) Within 15 days of the submission of the documents referred to in paragraph (1) or
of receipt of the opinion under Article 193 (3) and (5), the Central Electoral Commission shall
take a decision on the registration of the initiative group or on the refusal to register it. The
decision on the registration of the initiative group shall indicate the deadline for collecting
signatures of supporters of the republican referendum, which may not be less than 2 months
and more than 3 months.
(3) Once the initiative group has been registered, its members shall be issued with
passes and subscription lists in accordance with the templates established by the Central
Electoral Commission.
(4) Information on the registration of the initiative group and the problems expected to
be subject to the republican referendum shall be made public via the media.
