The Republican referendum (1) The Republican referendum shall be conducted to exercise the power of the people and to participate directly in the leadership and administration of state affairs. (2) The Republican referendum shall be conducted by universal, equal, direct, secret and freely expressed suffrage, in accordance with the Constitution and the provisions of this Code. (3) Acts adopted by republican referendum shall have legal power after confirmation of the results of the referendum by the Constitutional Court and shall be enforceable throughout the territory of the Republic of Moldova.
