New elections (1) New elections shall take place: a) if, after repeated voting, the elections were declared invalid or null and void; b) if one or two candidates took part in the elections and none of them has accumulated at least 1/2 of the votes of the voters who took part in the elections. (2) The date of new elections shall be set by Parliament no later than 30 days after the date of the previous ordinary elections or repeated voting within which the President of the Republic of Moldova has not been elected, at least 60 days before the day of the election, in accordance with this Code.
