(1) The service provided by the Commission is an essential service for the purpose of the Labour Relations Act, 1995 (Act No. 66 of 1995). (2) Strikes and lockouts on voting dayby employees and employers in the public transport or telecommunication sector are prohibited and are not protected in terms of Chapter IV of the Labour Relations Act, 1995.
