Delegates to political party conventions; selection; oaths; voting; allocation among
presidential nominees
A. Notwithstanding any other provisions of law, at least ninety days prior to a presidential preference
primary election, the state governing body of each eligible political party shall establish procedures to be followed
in the selection of individual delegates and alternates to the convention of that party, including procedures for the
selection of committed and uncommitted delegates. A copy of any rule adopted by the state party committee shall
be filed with the secretary of state within seven days after its adoption and shall become public record.
B. Delegates shall be allocated among the presidential candidates according to the results of the
presidential primary and according to guidelines established by the governing bodies of the respective parties.
