Registrar of voters and unclassified employees; increased salary mandated; additional increase
authorized
A. In addition to any salary authorized by law, each registrar of voters and each of his employees
in the unclassified service shall receive a salary increase in an amount equal to five percent of his total salary
on the effective date of this Section, such increase to be paid by the state.
B. Each parish governing authority is hereby authorized, pursuant to the authority of this Section
and of R.S. 18:56, to approve and pay an additional salary increase to the registrar of voters and each of his
employees in the unclassified service, such increase to be in an amount equal to five percent of his total
salary on the effective date of this Section and to be paid by the parish governing authority.
