In proceedings for an offence against, or a contravention of a civil penalty provision in, this Act: (a) a communication of electoral matter that includes a name purporting to be the author’s name is admissible as evidence that the person named is the author of the communication; and (b) a communication of electoral matter that includes a statement that it was authorised by a specified person is admissible as evidence of that fact.
