This Division limits electoral expenditure and fundraising for electoral expenditure by foreign campaigners (that is, persons who, broadly, do not have a connection with Australia). Electoral expenditure incurred by or with the authority of a foreign campaigner must not total $1,000 or more in a financial year. Amounts fundraised for that purpose must not total $1,000 or more in a financial year.
