If a final claim is refused, in whole or in part, the Electoral Commission must cause to be given to the agent of the registered political party, candidate or group to which the claim relates, a notice that states that the claim has been refused, in whole or in part, and sets out the reasons for the refusal. Note: A notice may be required under this section if an interim claim that is refused, in whole or in part, is taken to be a final claim under paragraph 298C(3)(c) or subsection 298C(4).
