(1) In determining for the purposes of this Part whether a political party that is not a Parliamentary party has at least 1,500 members, the same member may not be relied on by more than one party. (2) If an individual is a member of more than one political party that is not a Parliamentary party, then, for the purposes of subsection (1): (a) only the party nominated by the member may rely on the individual as a member; and (b) no party may rely on the individual as a member if, after the Electoral Commission has given the individual at least 30 days to do so, the individual has not nominated a party.
