If the non ‑ judicial appointee: (a) is absent, except on leave granted by the Commission in accordance with section 9, from 3 consecutive meetings of the Commission; or (b) fails, without reasonable excuse, to comply with his or her obligations under section 11; the Governor ‑ General shall terminate the appointment of the non ‑ judicial appointee.
