(a) The voting machine shall remain inactivated against voting until the polls are formally opened and shall not be operated except by voters for voting. Previous Next Page 7-5-519 ELECTIONS (b) If any counter is found not to register zero (000), the poll workers shall immediately notify the county board of election commissioners, who shall cause the counters to be adjusted at zero (000). (c) After the close of voting on election day, the certified printout, signed by the poll workers, shall be: (1) Returned to the county board of election commissioners; and (2) Filed with the election returns.
