§ § 3509Timely casting of ballot

To be valid:
       (1) a military-overseas ballot must be received by the
   appropriate county election board not later than the close
   of the polls; or
       (2) the voter must submit the ballot for mailing or
   other authorized means of delivery not later than 11:59 p.m.
   at the place where the voter completes the ballot on the
   date immediately preceding the date of the election.

§ 3510. Federal write-in absentee ballot.
   A covered voter may use a Federal write-in absentee ballot
to vote for all offices and ballot measures in an election.
