§ 1720Final Qualification of Committee

Within one
hour from the time of withdrawing as aforesaid, the parties
shall deliver to the presiding officer of the Senate the names
of the said four members of the Senate and nine of the House
of Representatives remaining on the list, who shall then
respectively take an oath or affirmation, to be administered
by the presiding officer of the Senate, to try the matter of
the petition and to give a true judgment thereon according to
the evidence, unless the committee shall be dissolved.
