Role of Registers Iceland.
Registers Iceland administers the preparation and operation of the electronic electoral
register and is responsible for its security.
Registers Iceland develops and operates computer systems used in the conduct of elections
on the basis of a service agreement with the National Electoral Commission. The contract
shall define the tasks, their management, the term of the agreement and the arrangement of
payments for the service and of audits of performance.
