Judicial retention; supreme court justices. A. Each eligible justice of the supreme court shall be subject to retention or rejection at the general election in the last year of the eight-year term of office for the position in which the justice is serving. B. Terms of office for positions on the supreme court shall be staggered so that at least one term of office shall expire each even-numbered year; provided that no more than two terms of office shall expire in the same year. C. The administrative office of the courts shall maintain current on its website a list of the names of the currently serving justices of the supreme court and the year in which the term of office for each position on the supreme court expires.
