Unlawful release of election results. A. Unlawful release of election results consists of the county clerk or a duly authorized deputy or assistant releasing election results prior to the closing of the polls on election day. B. Whoever commits unlawful release of election results is guilty of a misdemeanor, pursuant to Section 31-19-1, NMSA 1978.
