Sample ballots; penalty. The county clerk shall provide at least four sample ballots for use in each precinct. Two of the sample ballots shall be displayed for public inspection on the outside of the polling place and two on the inside. The sample ballots shall be displayed throughout election day. It is a petty misdemeanor for any person to deface, alter, remove or in any way destroy the sample ballots displayed for public inspection at the polling place during the hours the election is being conducted.
