Education function of Commission 67. (1) The Commission shall, through educational and information programmes promote public awareness of, and participation in, the State’s electoral and democratic processes and encourage the public to vote at electoral events. (2) The following are electoral events to which this section and section 68 applies: (a) a Dáil election; (b) a Seanad election; (c) a European election; (d) a presidential election; (e) a local election; (f) a referendum.
