Amendment of section 32 of Act of 1991 60. Section 32 of the Act of 1991 is amended by the substitution of the following subsection for subsection (2): “(2) (a) Before deciding whether to make an order under section 23 of the Local Government Act 2001 in relation to a local electoral boundary the Minister shall request An Coimisiún Toghcháin to prepare a report, in accordance with sections 61 to 63 of the Electoral Reform Act 2022 , in relation to the boundary concerned. (b) An Coimisiún shall, if so requested, prepare and furnish to the Minister a report in writing which shall include its recommendations and the Minister shall publish the report and shall have regard to it when deciding whether or not to make the order.”.
