Role of chief executive 22. (1) The chief executive shall— (a) implement the policies and decisions of the Commission, (b) manage and control generally the staff, administration and business of the Commission, (c) perform such other functions (if any) as may be required by the Commission or as may be authorised under this Act, (d) subject to section 41 (3) , be accountable to the Commission for the efficient and effective management of the Commission and for the due performance of his or her functions, and (e) provide the Commission with such information (including information with respect to the performance of those functions in so far as they relate to the financial affairs of the Commission) as the Commission may require. (2) The chief executive may make proposals to the Commission on any matter relating to its functions.
