Construction of references in European Assembly Elections Acts, 1977 to 1992 . 171. —In the European Assembly Elections Acts, 1977 to 1992— ( a ) every reference to “the Assembly” shall be construed as a reference to the European Parliament, ( b ) every reference to “Assembly election” shall be construed as a reference to European election, ( c ) every reference to “Assembly elector” shall be construed as a reference to European elector.
