§ Article 2The Central Electoral Commission

1. The Central Electoral Commission shall be a permanent supreme state institution for organising and conducting elections and referendums, provided for in the Constitution of the Republic of Lithuania. Moreover, the Central Electoral Commission shall be a coordinating institution implementing Article 15(1) and (2) of Regulation (EU) No 211/2011 of the European Parliament and of the Council referred to in the Annex to this Law.

1. The Central Electoral Commission shall be a permanent supreme state institution for organising and conducting elections and referendums as provided for in the Constitution of the Republic of Lithuania. Moreover, the Central Electoral Commission shall be a coordinating institution implementing paragraphs 1 and 2 of Article 15 of Regulation (EU) No 211/2011 referred to in the Annex to this Law, as well as a national contact point as established in point 10 of Article 2 of Regulation (EU, Euratom) No 1141/2014 referred to in the Annex to this Law.
2. The Central Electoral Commission is a legal person and has a seal with the State emblem of the Republic of Lithuania and the name “Central Electoral Commission of the Republic of Lithuania“, as well as accounts with banks of the Republic of Lithuania.
3. The Central Electoral Commission has its seat in Vilnius.
