As used in this chapter, unless the context clearly indicates otherwise, the following definitions apply: (1) "Local government" means any city, town, county, or consolidated city-county. (2) "Local government's next election held in accordance with Title 13, chapter 1, part 4," means a primary or general election that includes the regularly scheduled nomination or election of officers of that local government unit.
