(1) The secretary of state may prescribe rules for the submission of voting systems for examination and additional requirements for approval of voting systems. (2) The secretary of state shall prescribe rules for the complete procedures necessary to use each type of voting system now approved for use in this state and for each type of system approved for use under the provisions of this chapter.
