The Central Election Commission shall, within the scope of laws and its competence, take decisions, issue the necessary orders and instructions which are published in the official gazette Latvijas Vēstnesis. Decisions and orders shall enter into effect on the day of taking thereof, whereas instructions - on the day of publication thereof. Compliance with the decisions, orders, and instructions shall be ensured by all election commissions, and also State and local government authorities and the officials thereof.
