Sec. 101.
The board of state canvassers shall determine which candidate for United States senator has
received the greatest number of votes and shall declare such candidate to be duly elected. The
said board shall forthwith make and subscribe on its statement of returns a certificate of such
determination and deliver the same to the secretary of state, who shall forthwith deliver a true
