(a) The registration application files maintained under this subchapter shall be kept in the registrar's office at all times in a place and manner ensuring their security. (b) Applications may be removed from the registrar's office temporarily, in a manner ensuring their security, for use in preparing registration certificates, lists of registered voters, and other registration documents by electronic data-processing methods.
