At the same time a withdrawal request is filed, a candidate must deliver a copy of the request to the chair of the executive committee authorized to fill a vacancy in the nomination. If a vacancy exists in the office of chair of a precinct or district executive committee, the copy must be delivered to: (1) the chair of the state executive committee, for a district office; or (2) the chair of the county executive committee, for a precinct office.
